Residents can plan for their financial future through a free online education program. A financial health quiz generates a personalized financial action plan with informational videos and activities to help you set a new financial goal, build a budget, or pay off debt.


This online program is called Financially Fit DC and is offered by the Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking.

4. Gather more information.

What happens after I apply?

  1. You can complete the Financial Health Assessment on your online account.
  2. Based on your assessment, the online program will give you a personalized action plan. For example, if you’d like to save money, your action plan will include informational videos and activities that help you create a timeline for your savings goal.
  3. You will take the steps in your action plan to learn strategies to improve your finances.

Are there any additional requirements I should know about?

All you have to do is complete the online Financial Health Assessment in order to receive your personalized action plan for free.
